Dr. Samuel DONGMO appointed Permanent Ambassador of the Canada-Africa Pavilion – BIGTECH TUNISIA 2025
We are honored to announce that the Organizing Committee of BIGTECH TUNISIA, a major international event dedicated to innovation, digital transformation, and South-South technological cooperation, has officially appointed Dr. Samuel DONGMO as the Permanent Ambassador of the Canada-Africa Pavilion for the second edition of the event, which will be held in Tunis from September 9 to 11, 2025.
A recognition of pan-African leadership and commitment.
This appointment reflects the Organizing Committee's recognition of Dr. DONGMO's exemplary commitment to fostering dialogue between Africa and its diasporas. Ambassador of Peace and President of the High Council of Cameroonians Abroad, he has played a strategic role in promoting pan-African and Canadian initiatives on a global scale.
Through this distinction, Cameroon is also honored as a flagship country of the Canada-Africa Pavilion. Dr. DONGMO will proudly represent Cameroon, highlighting its potential as a hub of innovation, a reservoir of talent, and a land of opportunities for technological, entrepreneurial, and educational partnerships. His journey sends a strong message to Cameroonian and African youth: one of excellence, leadership, and the positive transformation of the continent.
The Canada-Africa Pavilion: Catalyst for Intercontinental Alliances
The Canada-Africa Pavilion, which Dr. DONGMO will represent, will play a key role at BIGTECH TUNISIA 2025. It will serve as a platform for North-South and South-South exchanges in strategic areas such as fintech, e-health, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the digitalization of public services.
As Permanent Ambassador, Dr. DONGMO will have the following missions:
- Promote the vision of the Africa-Canada partnership in high-level panels;
- Mobilize talents, investors, and institutional stakeholders from the African diaspora;
- Coordinate African contributions with Canadian partners;
- Promote high-impact technological projects for the continent.

Organized for the second consecutive year, BIGTECH TUNISIA is establishing itself as an essential gathering for African tech stakeholders: startups, large corporations, public decision-makers, research centers, funders, and diasporas.
