Since mid 2021, I have been Director of Gaza Sky Geeks (GSG), a program of the International NGO, Mercy Corps. GSG’s mission is to bring about sustainable and inclusive economic development in Palestine. Each year we upskill thousands of young Palestinian individuals and companies in high-value in-demand tech skills so they can earn incomes from overseas via the internet and bring revenue into Palestine. Previously I completed overseas assignments with AusAID (Australian government), spending 2 years running PR and fundraising for a wildlife conservation organisation in Indonesia, and 1 year mentoring entrepreneurs in a Vietnamese start-up incubator / accelerator.

Prior to international development, my career has been in creating and growing tech companies in the UK, USA, Australia, and SE Asia. Initially I worked in the UK banking sector where I founded my tech company specialising in systems security and change control software products to some of the world’s largest banks. My company was acquired and I subsequently held senior positions in global software companies, early-stage venture funded start-ups, and in the Australian innovation-commercialisation / start-up ecosystem / venture capital sector.
